The artisans of the Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco draw inspiration from the earthen colors of the Andean Sierra for this beautiful messenger bag. It's hand-loomed from 100% alpaca wool with a traditional Inca geometric pattern in slate grey, russet, black, and sepia. It comes fully lined and features a zipper closure.

The Artisans of the Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco collective works to maintain traditional Peruvian weaving styles and natural dyeing techniques alive. They raise their own alpacas and llamas and color the wool using 100% natural dyes. Its founder, Nilda Callañaupa Alvarez, sought out elderly weavers to teach younger apprentices old weaving techniques that were about to be lost forever.

Zosimo Laura comes from a respected family of weavers in rural Peru, although he had to relocate to an urban center because of political unrest many years ago. He still weaves rugs the traditional way, using a pedal loom, like with this wool fiber rug woven on a cotton warp. The design is based off those from cultures that predate the Inca.

Gamaniel Esmit combines deep tones of crimson and marigold with warm earth colors in this rug celebrating the Inca heritage of his Andean homeland. He hand-weaves it in a traditional loom using fine 100% alpaca wool and signs it with his initials.Born in the highlands city of Huancayo, Gamaniel comes from a long line of weavers and grew up around surrounded by yarns and looms. Through their work, he and his family continue to keep alive the old traditions and techniques that have been passed down to them for centuries.

Inspired by Inca iconography, the talented Zosimo Laura in Peru creates this stunning area rug. The rug is woven on a traditional pedal loom from pure wool yarns on a cotton warp.

This breathtaking wool runner rug is inspired by the chakana, an important symbol in Andean cultures, particularly associated with the Inca civilization. The stepped cross with 12 points forming a square cross represents the Southern Cross constellation and symbolizes duality, complementarity and reciprocity. Peruvian artisan Gerardo Fernandez creates an exquisite handwoven design with vibrant hues obtained from organic sources, including cochineal and tree leaves, bark, roots and fruits.
