For the World Peace Project, inspired by the beauty of the lotus flower and its spiritual significance, Bali's Wayan Karang explains his intent in designing these exquisite drop earrings.

"Lotus is a flower that can grow on the surface of the water yet requires mud to grow with beautiful flowers and leaves that grow wide. The lotus flower is considered a symbol of purity and transcendence, as well as spiritual purification and liberation. Transcendence itself means divine awareness or vertical human consciousness, not only religiously but in any sense that transcends human reason.

"The lotus is beautiful and clean, even though it grows in a muddy environment," he continues. "By being linked to the philosophy of life, where humans have been created perfectly by God so that they must develop to a better life goal even though sometimes they are surrounded by hatred and negativity. Lotus has the meaning of peace and purity, which is often used as a symbol of the flower of peace. So with that, I raised the concept of the lotus flower into the form of jewelry. My hope is that humans can become like lotus flowers, aware of the perfection that has been bestowed by God, and can create positive things.
