Beads of ceramic are hand-painted in ornate colors of red, blue, green, and gold, adorning the length of this striking necklace. Skilled members of the Angel Ceron Artisan Association create an image in handcrafted ceramic to honor Mexico's pre-Hispanic civilizations. The headdress is similar to that of a Classic Maya sculpture from Copan that can be seen in the Peabody Museum. Their concept may be inspired by a Maya maize God image from the same archaeological site, now on display in the British Museum. However the artisans give the deity the look of an aged man.

Inspired by the amazing Nazca geoglyphs in Peru, this decorative bowl features the image of the characteristic hummingbird from ancient iconography. Members of the Huaman Paucar Family handcraft the bowl of ceramic, diligently painting the bowl by hand to surround the central image with geometric motifs in colors that evoke the beauty of the sunset.
