This natural fiber journal, handcrafted by Balinese artisan Komang Sulaksana, features a pandan leaf cover, cinnamon and grass cord binding and 100 pages of rice straw paper perfect for jotting notes, memories, dreams, drawings or poetry. The artisan relishes in the challenge of melding different mediums, relying on both his artistic talent, and on natural fibers, for all of his work. "Creating new designs is so much fun for me," he says. "Arranging different kinds of materials together is not a hard thing to do but, of course, it requires patience and skill."

Collaborating with the development of different traditional communities around the country, Dr. James Vreeland has combined the expertise of local cotton and alpaca wool producers with the high-quality Peruvian craftsmanship, creating a series of accessories and garments perfect for those chilly winter days.

This time, Vreeland and his team craft a cozy hat using a baby alpaca blend and copper fibers, allowing the design to have a soft and warm texture. On top of that, the piece features a beige hue that preserves the environment as it is obtained from natural dyes.
