This cotton cushion cover features brilliant circle motifs in sunrise and cornflower blue, with a ragged overlay in candy apple red. Designed by Elsie Apetor of Ghana, the motifs on this cushion cover are named Kekeli, a Ewe word meaning "to shine."

Indian artisan Navya Khanna uses cotton embroidery performed by hand to decorate this pair of denim cushion covers. Lovely zigzag motifs in snow white dance over midnight bodies for an excellent addition to any home. Each cover features a back in solid midnight and opens with a zipper for inserting a cushion.

For coverlets, the women created quilts of layered fabric, stitched by hand in a technique known as gudri-making or hand quilting. The motifs are created with block prints, applied by hand in blue on ivory. Neat rows of flowers represent the unbroken lineage of tradition handed down over generations. Finished with piping, the edges are scalloped and the stitching is done by hand.
