This cushion cover's front panel is woven on a backstrap loom by artisans of Chichicastenango who use wool prepared by those in Momostenango; the classic design features alternating thick and thin lines in elephant grey on an ivory background. The back side is milk white cotton blend fabric, and after the two sides are sewn together, a zipper on one side aids in inserting a cushion.

The cases are beautifully done. They make the other pillows look shabby. I would have liked the zipper opening to have been a bit larger. Well worth the cost and wait.

Desak fondly recalls the clear river water and beautiful scenery of her childhood. But her favorite memories were ones spent with her father, bringing him lunch at the farm and scaring away the birds. After he passed, Desak and her 10 siblings found themselves struggling to survive.
