Armando Ramírez's artistic vision permits him to see a different reality in discarded automotive parts and scrap metal. Transforming them into sculptures, he portrays a jazz musician with his trombone. A spark plug forms the body while wire and metal scraps complete the piece.
Ramírez does not give his sculptures a fine polished finish, therefore smudges and scratches may be present.

I got this gift for someone who is difficult to buy gifts for. It s more than another dust collector, it s a great conversation starter.

I head our local fire safe council, and I couldnt resist this sculpture for our fire department, which we work closely with. In fact, I went back and ordered more because our chief loved it and thought we could make it the basis of an annual award to a firefighter or fire prevention staff member. A friend whos a woodworker is going to make redwood bases for them, so we can get a trophy shop to engrave and mount descriptions. This is all very exciting!

This is the fourth piece I have purchased from Mr Ramirez. (The other three were cats.) They are all fantastic! He captures the essence of a person, occupation or thing with just a few pieces of recycled metal. I don know how he does it. This motorbike is a gift for a person who once rode a full-sized one, but is now too old to continue. I know he will love it and it will give him happy memories.
