I wanted a dress made of subtly-patterned rayon, with long sleeves, midi length. None of my usual sources had anything even close. Same with trying to find a pattern and fabric to sew it myself. Along came a Novica catalog with this Celestial Day dress by Seema Shah. It looked perfect! I was amazed how quickly it arrived from India. The dress is as pictured. The rayon fabric has a lovely drape plus an interesting dobby texture. I love the side pockets. The lining is a nice touch. The background color is great and the print is subtle and pretty. There is embroidery on the front yoke which coordinates nicely with the fabric. I am 72 and it looks and feels great on me. I would have loved it at age 22!

Impressed!

I never write reviews, but I'm so impressed with Novica, I'm eager to do so now. The dress is beautiful and extremely reasonably priced. It was delivered in a compact envelope, instead of a box with tons of plastic. There was a beautiful thank you card enclosed. When I wanted to contact the company, I got a swift and helpful reply. Finally, Novica seems like the kind of company I want to do business with, as they support independent artisans.

Absolutely Beautiful!

I was so happy when I opened this package and saw the quality of the work and the quality of the fabric. I feel it is wearable art! I absolutely love it I am 5'7" now ;I have shrunk at 80 and I weigh 161. I have the typical after menopause body; more weight below bust to hips. Not curvy anymore . I usually wear a size 12 or 14 and I bought the large. It is very roomy, but not baggy. it still would have fit if I bought the M , But I like this a bit oversized. I am pretty cute in this for an old lady!
