African Landscape Painting, "Adija Village"

Northern Ghana is dryer than the south as Sahara winds blow across its landscapes. Agriculture sustains this quiet hamlet beneath tall trees. Nii Dodoo depicts an everyday scene as neighbors talk together and a boy takes his bicycle out for a spin. The village is Adija where traditional homes welcome inhabitants and guests.
