Leather map, "1570 World Map in Blue"

Francys Ferreira replicates the original mappemonde by Flemish cartographer Abraham Orelius. This world map was published in 1570 along with 53 more, under the title Theatrum Orbis Terrarum. It is regarded as the "first modern atlas." Francys Ferreira uses pyrograph techniques on quality leather to ensure an antique illusion. The map hangs from classic cedar rods.
