Vikorn Sara reveals Buddha's presence through his art while inviting us to experience the serenity that may come through meditation. Painting with acrylics, Sara portrays Buddha as a stone sculpture in an artistic style known as Dvaravati, which dates back to the 7th and 8th centuries. Dvaravati refers both to a culture and a conglomerate of ancient city-states in the lower plain of the Chao Phraya river. Buddha is characterized by a broad face, full rimmed lips, elongated eyes and eyebrows in a sharp ridge forming an arc.
