Original Buddha Painting on Canvas by Thai Artist, "Worship Buddha"

The talented artist Poovadol from Thailand evokes the legend of Buddha's ascent to Daowadung heaven in this original acrylic painting. Buddhist lore maintains that when Buddha and 500 saints traveled to Daowadung heaven, they were prevented from entering by Nantopanata, the chief of the nagas (mythical serpent-dragons). Only by outsmarting the creature and literally fighting fire with fire were Buddha and the 500 saints able to pass into heaven.
