Serve Your Guests in Style with These Handblown Cocktail Glasses

With the holidays just right around the corner I have already started to think about the dinner’s and parties that I will be hosting. Throwing a dinner party is no easy task but the reward that comes from being in the company of family and friends is priceless. This year I wanted to make our get together even more special by adding a little exotic flair to the table. That’s when I stumbled across these beautiful Caribbean Handblown Recycled Glass Cocktail Drinkware.

Recycled Glassware

This set of six recycled glassware pieces comes all the way from the beautiful country of Mexico and are made from the very talented Javier and Efren. These are not just your normal glassware as they are individually hand blown. Javier and Efren work with lead-free, un-tempered and recycled glass, which is melted at very high temperatures. They use a long steel blowpipe to pick a glob of molten glass and, holding the pipe with one hand, they masterfully start shaping the desired piece by blowing through the other end of the pipe using tools with their free hand. They must work fast, while the molten glass is still hot, adding color and other desired effects.

What’s beautiful about hand blown glass is that no two pieces are every the same. The may look the same from afar but up close you can see the uniqueness of each glass. Since these glasses are handblown you may notice that they are different and size, shape and that there are tiny little bubbles throughout the glass. This happens because of the unique technique of hand-blowing. These effects definitely add a special flair to each glass.

Around the rim of the glasses is a gorgeous emerald tint that I can’t help but think of the oceans of Mexico as I drink from the glass.  My first thought when I ordered my handblown cocktail glasses was that they would be my go-to glass for when I make Pina Colado’s or Margarita’s. However after receiving them I have pretty much been drinking everything in them. From water to tea this is a great glass for any drink.

I am in love with my new drinkware and can’t wait to add more to my collection. After having these hand-blown glasses I don’t think I can ever look at a glass the same way again.
