Support Relief Efforts in Ukraine

As the conflict in Ukraine continues to escalate, the humanitarian crisis is becoming increasingly urgent. In times of need, we typically seek out local, on-the-ground organizations that provide direct and immediate aid. One of our partners, GlobeIn, has seven team members located in Ukraine, and they have requested that support go to a local organization called MASHA for their critical and direct involvement in the war’s relief efforts. MASHA was originally established to help survivors of domestic violence, and now directs its efforts to supporting women, children and elderly civilians in the areas under attack.

NOVICA is donating directly to MASHA, and we’re providing bank transfer details below for those who wish to support as well.

We would also like to bring to your attention to the following three amazing organizations that have individuals on the ground in Ukraine. We highly recommend them for their impactful work.

NOVICA co-founder Armenia Nercessian served as a Human Rights Officer for the United Nations for many years. During her relief and peacekeeping missions in Bosnia, El Salvador, Brazil and other locations, she found that UNICEF’s work in the field made a tremendous impact in the lives of vulnerable populations. Today, more than one million children have fled Ukraine, while others have come under direct attack. UNICEF, who works closely with NOVICA, is providing vital supplies and essential services to support health, water, sanitation, and protection. Make a donation here.

International Medical Corps

The International Medical Corps is another close ally of NOVICA. Their essential services in Ukraine provide medical and mental health support to those most impacted by the war. From the staggering number of refugees to the growing ranks of civilian soldiers, the International Medical Corps provides lifesaving interventions in the most affected areas of Ukraine. Your donations to IMC are highly appreciated and very impactful. Make a donation here.

World Central Kitchen

WIth their fundamental belief that food is a universal human right, the World Central Kitchen is committed to serving chef-prepared meals to impacted communities. As millions of Ukrainians flee for safety, food has become a precarious resource. The WCK is currently on-the-ground serving nourishing meals to refugees at eight pedestrian border crossings, as well as lending support to restaurants in twelve cities across Ukraine. Make a donation here.

Empowerment has always been a critical component of NOVICA’s DNA. Today, it feels particularly urgent. Please donate if you are able. Your support can help save lives.
