Holiday Table Settings with Red Martini Glasses

With the holiday season fast approaching, I am planning for entertaining and parties. I am a huge fan of simple, yet tasteful, décor I can pull together quickly.  When I saw these Red Hand Blown Martini Glasses, I knew I had found the perfect accompaniment for my holiday table settings.  I already had a set of hand blown green glassware from Javier and Efrén and was pleased with the quality. They are true artisans who use traditional techniques to create unique pieces that never fail to receive compliments from my guests.

I used the martini glasses to create lovely place settings for guests.  I began with a layering technique, using a basic green plate topped by a white plate.  Underneath the plates I added a festive Christmas napkin and topped the plates with a white fork. The martini glasses were the perfect finishing touch to the holiday table setting!

I also plan to use the glasses as part of a simple centerpiece. I poured water into each glass and added a floating candle.  Placed on a Christmas cloth and surrounded by ivy, these will be an easy focal point for any dinner party.

Of course, there’s always the idea of simply using them to serve drinks.  They would make a perfect base for a Halloween themed drink.  I would use colored red sugar around the rim of the glass and add a set of vampire fangs for some bewitching fun.  Tip: To help the sugar stick to the glass, dip the rim of the glass into a thin layer of corn syrup. Immediately dip the glass into the sugar. Allow the glass to dry before pouring in the drink and adding the fangs.

Once again, I’ve used NOVICA to bring a distinctive touch to my holiday table with handmade drinkware. These glasses are truly the gift that keeps giving!
