This is the first time Salihu’s work has been shown in a magazine, and when we showed him… well, you see his smile! He said, “It feels great to know my hard work and effort is recognized. I feel so happy.”
When asked what he will do with the copy of the magazine, he said: “I will show it to all my colleagues in the carving business and my customers. I will frame it to preserve it. I will show the magazine to my children to let them know my achievement, to encourage them to do far better than I have done.”
