For the moment, the mornings and evenings here in Southeast Texas are still a little cool, but the afternoons are pretty warm. It tells me that it’s time to swap the heavy trappings of Old Man Winter for the gauzy, fairy-light fabrics of Spring. NOVICA has a great collection of spring accessories. These raw silk, pastel scarves (‘Breezy Spring’) really capture the spirit of the season without adding any weight or real warmth, making them the perfect new addition to my spring fashion line-up.
These gorgeous scarves can be worn together, or separately with beautiful results either way. They are a very gauzy, mesh with a kind of fringe on the ends. The colors are fresh and light; reminiscent of a Spring garden in bloom. They coordinate with so much out of my closet, I’m sure I’ll wear them very often! They will certainly freshen up almost any outfit.
The light airy mesh makes them great for adding a pop of color in the hot afternoons. In the evenings, when things cool off, all I have to do is give them a twist and a wrap. Now they’ll keep away the chill!
I also found this very pretty, beaded, stretch bracelet (Celebrate Life), that really coordinates well with these scarves. The colors are the same beautiful Spring colors. This bracelet is made of elm wood, and horn, and because it is a stretch bracelet, it will fit almost anyone. My oldest daughter has already been eyeing this bracelet and I am afraid I’ll be missing it soon.
One of the really personal touches that I love about NOVICA are the hand written notes on a photograph postcard, that are included with some of the items that I purchase. The Celebrate Life bracelet came with one of these postcards. It has a picture of an adorable little girl and a musician (that I imagine is a part of her family).
The note on the back says, “Thanks for your support, Regards, Novica Artisan.” I am sure that none of the artisans know how special these notes are to me. They make my purchases more personal, as if the artists know me, and are creating things especially for me.
