I have a lot of folk art, including a number of other pieces from John Barrow, and I am mostly only interested in depictions of animals, plants, and geometric forms, not humans. However the colors of the womens dress, combined with the condor, make this one of only a handful of pieces I have in my collection depicting humans, and I am extremely happy with it! One thing I realized I especially love about this piece is the dynamism that comes from having the condor sticking out away from the pieces center of gravity.

I am the happy owner of 3 of Mr. Barrows sculptures (so far). This Cuzco Shepherd is just beautiful, unique and very detailed. It shows the love between the shepherd and her llama. The colors he uses to stain the wood are also beautiful. I especially like that this sculpture portrays a part of Andean life and culture. He is an artist and is able to turn small pieces of wood into the most beautiful works of art. I absolutely love his work and thank him for bringing such beauty into my home. I treasure my sculptures from him.

I lost my father last year and my mothers sister has ended up feeling a lot of the emotional support role he offered. My father was really into meditation and my aunt really likes harpy eagles, and so I just love this piece.
