This stunning original jali elephant sculpture is from the workshop of India's Ashish Mehta. The elephant is elaborately detailed with flower motifs on the head and trunk and delicately carve details on the back and on both sides. In traditional jali style, the noble beast is detailed with hundreds of tiny carved openings, allowing you to look inside the sculpture. More remarkable still is the tiny carved elephant that is within the sculpture's belly--a true testament to the breathtaking skill of the carver.

“Amazing detail”

This is so lovely! Words cannot describe the details. The carving is amazing. The little elephant inside is like a special gift. The artist is incredibly talented. Also, even though I looked at the dimensions, I did not realize the great height of this piece. Wonderful!

“Sweet Distinctive Pooches”

Very cute individualistic puppers that would delight any dog lover. Useful just as decorations or on a Christmas tree. Mr. Mehtas felt works are always amusing and well received.

“Cute and Well Made”

I hang Mr Mehtas felt ornaments at the bottom of our Christmas tree, so our cats have something they can touch safely. They hold up well and people comment on how cute they are. This set are a lively flock of birds. I plan on sharing some with friends for their birthdays or holidays. Mr. Mehtas felt animals are so distinctive. Lovely!
