Hand etched details give this decorative African mask a distinctive look that will make the perfect conversation piece for your home or office wall. Ghanaian artisan Abdul Aziz Mohamadu hand carves the mask from sese wood and etches designs in the mask's forehead and cheeks, which are painted Caribbean blue accented in cream, with additional accents in black and brick red throughout the mask. The blue double blade symbol on the forehead is the Akofena Adinkra symbol that represents courage. The artisan titles this mask Ohene, a Ghanaian akan word that means "king."

“Conversational piece due to its meaning.”

The mask lacks vibrance. The colors are dull. Very Primitive in nature. The red doesnt appear as vivid as the photo. The size is nice. I recognize that one cant duplicate a mask over and over exactly due to it being handmade.
