Combining the beauty of nature with traditional handicrafts, Gunadi presents this set of four ornaments which are created by Javanese artisans. Each ornament is carved from wood in the shape of a heart, decorated with teal leaf motifs or intricate vines on red. The designs are applied using the batik method; a wax resist is added before the wood is treated with colorful dyes. Afterward, the wax is boiled away.

These are quite beautiful. The only surprise was that they were considerably larger and heavier than expected. The description is correct in terms of the size, so be sure to make sure that matches your wishes.

These are bigger than expected. Absolutely beautiful. Not very heavy so branches of tree are not weighted down. The design work is stellar. I highly recommend this artist, he is very talented. You will not be disappointed with his work.
