The ring is almost exactly what is looks like in the photo and fits very well (ordered a size 10 and it fits perfectly on my middle finger). One of my favorite details is how the eagle's talons are holding the citrine gem in place. Novica always have beautiful pieces as this is my second ring I have ordered from here which I love. I just received my "Starling Romance" ring, and I am admiring the craftsmanship and the fine details of this lovely piece of jewelry. On top of being simply beautiful, I also find the ring so delightfully 'exotic' and 'magical' . When gazing at the silver birds I think of a fairy tale. . This ring holds a very special charm. Not only is this ring more beautiful in person than I expected, it is weighty and substantial. It hugs the finger perfectly. I just received mine and wore it yesterday and just kept marveling at it. I don't usually buy animal jewelry, but this is an exception that I am proud of. I do wish the head feathers were gold also, but even without , it is gorgeous and fun at the same time. I would like a coordinated bracelet!
