Balinese Journals Blue

I love this journal! The fabric on the cover is beautiful and soft, with a little bit of padding inside. The binder mechanism opens and closes easily. It came with lined paper with a space to fill in a date at the top of each page. The paper doesn't handle wet inks well, but ballpoint pens and pencils are fine. The mechanism is a 6-ring A5 one with about 19 mm between rings and a 70mm gap in the middle. The inner diameter on the rings is about 19mm. I've been able to find refills that fit easily and make my own with an adjustable a5 6 hole punch.

I bought this item as a birthday gift for a dear friend. The picture does not do justice to it as the blue covering is vibrant and the leaf pattern quite striking. Even the gift wrapping was a work of art, so much so that my friend took a picture of it before opening the present. Needless to say that she loved the gift! Compliments to the artisan!

I purchased two sets of these for my neices and nephews. I gave them with the thought that their parents will protect them until the kids get older. I love that they can have a picture of each child on the cover. I'm not sure if they will be used as scrap books or a place to write or draw or all o the above. I know they will love them.
