My favorite part of this sweater is the nature of the fabric. It is made in a way that feels like it is part of you and not obstructing you. It moves and stretches with your body in a way that you dont feel it on most of the time. It is low profile and not bulky making it a good base layer option if needed. The XL fit was perfect for me (I am 61, 200 lbs). The garment is cut well and allows for movement of the arms and bending at the elbows. If I bend my elbow, the cuff does not slide up at all. If I raise my arms completely over my head, the sweater barely raises off my waist. This is one of my favorite garments that I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I really wish these were cheaper so that I could buy a few more (one for the office, one for home, one for travel etc). Right now, I am using mine at the office and it would would fine in any office setting (casual with jeans, business casual, and wearing a tie).If you are on the fence, just buy it.

Once again, the catalog has introduced me to a top-notch product. Oilskin is heavy and smells of oil and wax when new, so be aware. (The smell is very temporary and inoffensive.) This is a sign that it is correctly made. And you can't put it in the washing machine, although cleaning is actually easy, and instructions are included. Attention to detail, heavy duty components (snaps and zipper) and versatile pockets are exactly as described. If this sounds like something you want...it probably is (and it's well worth it). You'll probably like the collar and liner, too. I am very satisfied.

My husband loves this hat. The slight color variations in the straw in the upper and top makes a unique and subtle herringbone type of pattern and really sets it off. The brim is broader than most he has worn previously and he likes this much better. The quality is first rate. Obviously made by a real craftsman.
