The simple design of our zip-front sweater hides a 500-year history of wool textiles in Scotland. The unique material--felted lamb's-wool that's softer and cozier than synthetic fleece, but with all the advantages of natural wool--is made by Lochaven in the heart of Scotland's traditional textile district of Stewarton. Our grey-trimmed, felted lamb's-wool sweater is soft and naturally water-resistant, both wind-resistant and breathable. By training young apprentices in knitting, felting, and sewing techniques, they help keep time-honoured textile traditions alive and constantly bring new ideas into the industry. They've even become a respected costume creator for Hollywood films, including all of the Hogwarts school uniforms for the Harry Potter movies.

“Very comfortable and warm”

My favorite part of this sweater is the nature of the fabric. It is made in a way that feels like it is part of you and not obstructing you. It moves and stretches with your body in a way that you dont feel it on most of the time. It is low profile and not bulky making it a good base layer option if needed. The XL fit was perfect for me (I am 61, 200 lbs). The garment is cut well and allows for movement of the arms and bending at the elbows. If I bend my elbow, the cuff does not slide up at all. If I raise my arms completely over my head, the sweater barely raises off my waist. This is one of my favorite garments that I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I really wish these were cheaper so that I could buy a few more (one for the office, one for home, one for travel etc). Right now, I am using mine at the office and it would would fine in any office setting (casual with jeans, business casual, and wearing a tie). If you are on the fence, just buy it.

“Beautiful and soft”

Bought this for my son who lives in Nevada and he loves being outdoors in the cold! I m giving this to him for Christmas so he hasn t had a chance to try it on. He is tall and trim and usually wears a size large. This looks like it will fit him; I ordered a size Large. It really is a beautiful and soft sweater!!

“My Dream Sweater”

This is the second one I have. The first one is blue. This green olive is the one I have always wanted since I first saw it advertised on the National Geographic Website a long time ago, but it was hidden on the website until I found it again after a long search. The quality was the top US Military standard. Its the famous Schott for which brand I also have its Leather Jacket. The style is unique. You cant get it from anywhere else. So, if you are a fanatic like me, this item is for you. Also, NOVICA is excellent. Its delivery is a lot faster than any other shop.

“gorgeous”

My husband loves alpaca clothing so I recently ordered this as a gift. The sweater is beautifully crafted and so soft! Sadly, I had to return it as it runs extremely large and the M is already the smallest size. Please let me know if this would ever be made in a S... would definitely buy again!
