At the start of a long workday, the world can look fast-paced and dynamic, and so does it for the Peruvian fishermen, whose routine can start and end at every time of the day. As the main inspiration for artist Carlos Morales, the lives and experiences of these men are the protagonists of an impressionist painting made with oil on canvas. The composition, titled Barca al atardecer II in Spanish, depicts a boat on the serene Peruvian coast, with its bow pointing offshore as a signal of the beginning of another routine in the prosperous Pacific Ocean.
