This pretty skirt from Antonio Cajahuanca in Peru is as easygoing as it gets. Crafted from 100% cotton in cool denim blue, the skirt features a comfortable elastic waist with a drawstring and convenient side pockets. The skirt is trimmed with tonal lace for a subtly feminine accent.

Dress up a pair of white sneakers or a simple t-shirt with this lightweight cotton skirt. Antonio Cajahuanca designs and crafts it in a laurel green cotton with embroidery, lace trim and a convenient adjustable drawstring waistband.

Antonio grew up immersed in the textile tradition of his hometown of San Pedro de Cajas, deep in the Andes mountains. As an adult, he decided to combine his skill and knowledge with those from his sisters and start a workshop. Their designs combine natural materials with novel styles and techniques and draw inspiration from the culture and landscapes around them.

In this hand made arpillera wall hanging, artisan Leonor Quispe of Peru brings to life the well-known Peruvian orchestral piece El Condor Pasa, or "The Condor Passes," popularized in the 1970's thanks to a rendition by Simon and Garfunkel. In the arpillera, an imposing condor flies over the Peruvian mountains and fields, while a smiling musician plays a panpipe, beguiling a herd of alpaca. The back of the wall hanging is solid white and has an attached multi-colored strap for hanging on the wall. Colorful and cheerful, this arpillera will brighten up any room.

Artisan Leonor Quispe of Peru hand makes these decorative mitts in the arpillera style. The backdrop is a section of an Andean blanket on which she appliqués a Peruvian landscape of llamas strolling through a field of cactus by a small pond with ducks. The sun peeks out from the mountains in the background. The back of the mitts is solid white. A loop of yarn topped with a pom pom is attached to the top corner of each mitt for easy hanging. These decorative mitts would make a colorful addition to any kitchen.
