Rita Addo Zakour frames a mirror with sese wood, crafted by local artisans in a rectangular shape. The mirror features a two-tone design in red and blue with a textured pattern, featuring a distressed finish achieved by rubbing the wood with clay.

Gorgeous leaves go all over a traditional design by Carlos Mendez from Mexico. Putting his woodworking techniques into practise, the artisan creates a vibrant hand mirror from copal wood. Then, the artisan chooses a colourful palette to paint a stunning pattern inspired by nature, all on a red base that enhances every little detail.

Celebrate pure romance with this hand-carved relief panel by Ghanaian artisan Joseph Boateng. A scene of two lovers embracing beneath a tree is carved from sese wood and painted by hand in contrasting shades of beige and black. The bodies form a heart shape which is appropriately colored in deep red with yellow patterns.

The syncretism of baroque Spanish and indigenous motifs in Peru produced a unique and elegant decorative style. Flora Polo keeps this heritage with a wall mirror framed in colourful reverse-painted glass. Indian artisan Anil Khandelwal combines traditional and contemporary sensibilities, creating this wall hanging to reflect the rich culture of Rajasthan. Russet-colored cotton is used to bind the patches and line the wall hanging, finished with petite sequins and a floral border.
