"It's amazing how the beauty of a lake can captivate all who visit it," says Guatemalan artist Boni. "Lake Atitlan is beautiful from wherever it is you're standing. This painting captures the sunset over the lake as seen from San Antonio Palopó.

"I was inspired by the street where one of my favorite churches is, Saint Francis Church in the colonial city of Antigua de Guatemala. I love walking down this street too, because you get to admire the beautiful scenery filled with lively colors," says Boni as he explains his composition.

Inspired by a visit to the pastoral north of his native Ghana, West African artist Attakora Yeboah painted this scene of a farm boy tending his cattle. The swishing tails of the cattle, the mud huts, the lush greenery and the open sky evoke the timeless rhythms of the African countryside.

The stunning islands of Bali contain a story of grandeur and magnificence in their ancient complexes, today hidden in their natural landscapes. However, this cultural heritage remains alive in each artisan, whose inspiration comes from their ancestors' legacy. This time, artisan Citra hand-carves an albesia wood sculpture of a disc embellished with traditional motifs, reminiscent of an ancient altar. The artwork also features a base and comes in a natural wood tone that enhances every little detail.

After a hike across desert landscapes, a man relaxes in the scant shade of a saguaro cactus in this whimsical sculpture. Armando Ramírez crafts the image from an amazing assortment of recycled metal and automobile parts. Sheet metal scraps, a spark plug, washers, die-cut scraps and wire all find a new life in this unique sculpture.

The artisan does not give his sculptures a fine polished finish, therefore smudges and scratches may be present.
