Designed by Mexican duo Jesus and Roxana Hernandez, this set of five ornaments carries on the rich tradition of alebrije sculptures. Each ornament is carved by hand of copal wood to depict a sweet fish. The ornaments are hand-painted with assorted colors.

Transform your spaces into an homage to marine wildlife with a gorgeous set by Victor Hugo Lopez of Guatemala. Inspired by the marvelous regional sea, the artisan works on wood to create these tree magnets, depicting a turtle, a fish and a starfish hand-painted in vibrant and tropical hues.

In this hand made arpillera wall hanging, artisan Leonor Quispe of Peru creates a vivid scene inspired by the Paracas National Reserve, located south of Lima on the Peruvian coast. The artist showcases the local fauna enjoying the seaside as the sun sinks over the horizon. The top of the arpillera has an opening for inserting a rod for easy hanging.

"When I was a little boy I loved everything that had to do with the sea and its creatures, especially seahorses. They are so morphologically different to the rest of the fish that I was fascinated by them. This childhood interest now inspires me to design these ornaments," confides José Arriola. The Guatemalan artisan handcrafts the ornaments of ceramic and paints each one with acrylics with different themes. The six ornaments hangs from bright red ribbons, and the set arrives in a traditional cotton pouch woven on a pedal-loom.

Jose Arriola learned the art of ceramics from his mother. His work is inspired by old Mayan traditions and the bright colors of his homeland.
