Dancing on bands of ivory, intricate diamonds discover a diversity of colors. Gregorio Ruiz Lopez weaves a delightful rug, exploring unexpected combinations in an orderly design. Oaxaca's blue skies are present in the borders. Lopez names this piece "Diversidad de Diamantes" in Spanish.
Because each rug is individually woven on handlooms, measurements could vary +/- 2 inches (5 cm).

"Magical Weaving"
This is weaving of a wonderful quality; regular, tight and even. I am not an expert, but I collect Navajo weavings and I think I know fine weaving when I see it. Gregorios weaving has, as I say, a wonderful finesse. The design is simple and pleasingly elegant, with bold diamonds separated by bands of vibrant colour, all on a lovely, neutral ground. It is now the focal point of a just decorated first floor landing.Should I require a similar rug, I would be very happy to go back to Gregorio. Quality always shows. Senor Ruiz has it in abundance.

"Gorgeous"
This small rug is beautifully designed and closely woven perfectly. I am very pleased with the workmanship and the vivid colors of the wool. I have several other throw rugs that I purchased in Mexico, and this is the same high artisanal quality that I was accustomed to.

"This rug will last!"

"Rug works well in our bedroom."
Beautiful colors and pattern. Fringe is also a nice touch, though a tad uncomfortable when you step on it barefoot. But still glad I purchased this lovely rug! Great craftmanship.
