This handsome sculpture represents the Lobi people of Northern Burkina Faso. Salihu Ibrahim works in seasoned African sese wood, adding white colorations with the application of clay. "Such stools are used as seating," the artisan explains.

"Wonderful mask"
I was very excited to receive this mask. It makes a great impression against the white wall where I wanted to place it. I love the geometric design and quirkiness of the face which evokes laughter and good humor for me.
