Inspired by the Egyptian civilization, Seth Korkordi Selom of Ghana paints this original acrylic on canvas composition. The top of the canvas depicts a scorpion, a creature which was venerated by ancient Egyptians and believed to be a guardian of souls moving from one world to the next. The bottom depicts two Egyptian men squared off, with various hieroglyphic symbols between them. The intriguing painting is rendered in cool blues and white.
