This pretty ceramic planter is crafted in the Talavera style by Mexico's Ivan Martinez. The dove-shaped pot is painted by hand with traditional motifs in blue, yellow and green. A hole in the bottom allows for drainage, and two holes on the back allow you to place it on a wall if desired.

"Beautiful, but not what I expected"
This planter is intended for hanging on a wall and has a flat back with holes for nails to mount it. There is a large drainage hole in the bottom. The opening for plants is only a couple of inches wide, though several inches long. Although it is lovely, it will be a bit of a challenge to use for plants. I had hoped it would have a round opening and I could insert a potted plant in it.

"Very disappointed"
I have been purchasing items from Novica for probably over 15 years, I have ALWAYS been extremely happy with my purchases. Unfortunately, not this time….This dove looks as if the artisan let his 5 year old do the painting. It s eyes are actually scary looking (crooked and evil looking) and it s mouth is only partially drawn, two corners can be seen, then blank and then a crooked line under the beak. Not impressed and will probably hide it up a tree or something. It s a shame, I was looking forward to putting it with the rest of my Talavera in my kitchen

"Dear Darling Dove"
I have watched this flower pot for months, just waiting for an auspicious moment to purchase it. The day finally came, and I couldnt be happier with this lovely Talavera creation. I am using it on a table top, but the holes on the backside make it suitable for wall decor also. The colors are bright and cheerful, and I cannot wait until my son-in-law gives me a plant cutting to put in it. Ivan Martinez does beautiful work, and I will certainly check out his collection each time I visit Novica. So delighted with this purchase.

"second time its faulty"
The first dispenser had a chip on the threaded top which caused the pump to not attach. I opted for an exchange of the item. It arrived after Christmas (on New Years Eve) and had a matt finish rather than shiny glaze. The pump did not attach to this one either.
