Rich with West African symbolism, this decorative wall plaque is crafted by Musah Abdallah in Ghana. He carves it by hand from sese wood, and accents it with brass and aluminum triangles. The top symbol is one representing wisdom, knowledge and prudence. The bottom symbol represents the importance of learning from the past. The adinkra symbols were originated by the Ashanti people and generally represent beliefs or proverbs.
