Rich earthen colours and intriguing textures invite the viewer into a quiet reverie. "In this painting, you first see a desert landscape. But inside, you'll see strata of forms in ochre, red, purple, blue and back that are superimposed on one another and they cover the entire canvas," Miriam Chipana explains. "The shapes remind me of Andean textiles with bands of colour, semicircles and geometric shapes. This is an allegory referring to our pre-Hispanic roots."

"fabulous painting"
The painting is in the style of Klee but is its own manifestation of expression, surrealism, and childlike fancifulness. The remarkable combination of colors and choice of shapes and symbols is first rate. I was really lucky to get this true work of art. It hangs prominently in my gallery.

"Love this Quilty Painting!"
I bought this painting for my wife who is a quilt maker. When I first viewed it, It reminded me of some of her colorful quilts. I was quite surprised to see it described as crazy quilt landscape. I love the patchwork composition of organic and geometric shapes as well as the bright and earthtone colors that connect man with mother Earth. This painting hangs as a center focus in out main living area. Well created Miriam! We love it!
