Oil on Canvas Naif Painting of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, "Don Quixote in Blue and Red"

A dreamy nobleman, the slender and tall knight Don Quixote de la Mancha, is on his white horse followed by his traveling companion and faithful squire, Sancho Panza, a simple and honest farmer mounted on his animal, a modest donkey. With his shield in his hands, Don Quixote leads the way through a path filled with his imaginary mortal enemies: the windmills. Brazilian artist Ernesto Duarte works with oil paints on canvas to present a remarkable naif rendition of the heroes of Miguel de Cervantes' 17th-century classic novel.
