In skilled hands, even common materials take on special qualities. Alexander Alvarado transforms a mixture of river sand, granite and cement into three petite flower pots. The three-inch cylinders are painted in white and light blue, inspired by the movement of the ocean. Each has cork on the bottom, and the trio stands together on a beautiful mahogany stand.
