Rosalina Arias hand weaves this beautiful shawl on a backstrap loom from black cotton. Alternating bands of tightly woven fabric with open work, she achieves a fabric that drapes beautifully. A band of colorful flowers is embroidered by hand on each end.

Rosalina Arias learned to make clothes and weave from her mother. She regularly conducts workshops to teach those same valuable skills to others in her community. Through her work, she hopes to showcase the best of her region's local traditions and inspire others.

“Scarf not as pictured”

The scarf is very well made is beautiful except that the scarf I received is not the same one that is in the photos. The scarf I received has three strawberries at the bottom of each side of the scarf. If these had been included in the photos and/or description of the scarf I would not have ordered it. I anted, and ordered, the scarf that was in the photos, without the strawberries.

“Thank you for making this”

The table runner is beautiful. I have done some weaving, and can appreciate what goes in to making this. The color is as shown and there is the yellow design in the center of the runner as well. A nice surprise.
