Working on a traditional loom, Guatemala's Elena Ixtamer creates this magnificent scarf. The scarf is woven of soft rayon threads in a complex ikat pattern of teal on white. Ikat is a weaving technique that employs resist dyeing the yarns before weaving the fabric. Braided fringe trims both ends.

This shawl is so bright, vibrant, and inspiring of joy. It goes with many colors and is a great shawl to carry on a trip. You can make your whole outfit look extra special with this scarf. My husband took some great photos of me while wearing the scarf on vacation. Great for those days when you need something to take away a mild chill in the air and its not necessary to have a heavy wool. Love this scarf. Thank you Elena.
