Wayan Kandiyasa of Indonesia presents this hand made statuette of a laughing Buddha, representing good fortune. This Buddha is holding a bowl, which can represent attaining enlightenment. This statuette is made by giving new life to what would have been discarded material, cast from cement made of reclaimed crushed stone. The statuette is finished with an antique bronze coloured patina.

“As beautiful as its inspiration...”

Staring at the Sun is something I know I shouldnt do but even so there are times when I just cant help it. It is like a light switch that is impossible to turn off.
