Hand Crafted Wood Sculpture of African Antelopes (Pair), "Bambara Antelopes"
The noble form of the African antelope is captured in this pair of carvings by George Obeng, representative of the craftsmanship of Sudan's Bambara people. Intricate details seem to direct the curve of the animal's necks, as dagger-like horns extend skywards. This pair, elaborated from mahogany, is sure to offer a sober elegance to any setting.
Obeng is a firm supporter of animal rights and his art serves as a vehicle to express his profound concern for global and local ecology. His work has been exhibited across the world, testifying to the universal resonance of his themes.

"George Obeng Creates Such Beautiful Carvings!"

I ordered his Divine Birth In Africa nativity set first and was so amazed at the exquisite detail. Then I ordered the Bambara Antelopes and again was in love with his beautiful carvings. I also ordered Collecting Water, a sculpture in ebony and a table, I Fear Only God. I am so grateful to him for creating such exquisite art at such an affordable price for my enjoyment. Thank you Mr. Obeng.

Not quite detailed enough for the price or another star. One trunk was broken and I repaired it.
