Artisans around the world always look for new ways to craft their products in a more environmentally-friendly fashion. Such is the case of Thai artisan Nithiphan Darakananda who uses a bio-composite made from recycled rice husks and polypropylene to create utilitarian and decorative objects such as this lovely jar to store tea bags, treats and even jewellery and other small objects. The jar, which helps reduce waste from the rice industry, features a lid with a faux leather handle and is a contemporary version of the traditional North African earthenware pots.
