In a unique fusion between science fiction and traditional Ghanaian motifs, artisan Philip Dankwa dares to contribute this experimental sese wood mask to the wider realm of African wood masks. Inspired by Africanfuturism, Dankwa sculpts his imaginative vision of a robot in local sese wood, painting and sanding to achieve a rustic finish, utilizing techniques belonging to his eastern region of Ghana.
