Brazil Sterling Silver Saint George and the Dragon Pendant, "Saint George and the Dragon"
Mounted on a rearing horse, Saint George slays a fearsome dragon. This pendant by Anna Paula Vivacqua depicts the beloved saint in cut-out silhouettes on a sterling silver medallion. George was a Roman soldier, martyred for his faith. He is usually depicted battling a dragon, symbol of wickedness, to rescue a beautiful lady who represents God's truth. In Brazil, Saint George is the patron of scouts.
