Bandhani is a tie-dyeing technique practiced mainly in western India. Intricate patterns are created by wrapping the fabric with string before dyeing it. When the fabric is untied, natural patterns appear in the places where the string prevented the dye from taking hold. Bandhani cloth is often used for women's shawls, but here the technique is adapted for a silky fit-and-flare dress. Made of knit viscose rayon, the dress drapes beautifully and features a scoop neckline and long sleeves.

“Lovely quality; fits on the large side”

The batik design and color are just gorgeous, as is the sewing quality. The style would be very versatile to dress up or down. However, I am returning the dress for two reasons: (1) Even with the fit chart guidance, the size S is too roomy in the torso. The chart measurements look perfect for me, but the loose fit just hangs like a tent on me. It doesnt seem to come in a smaller size. To note: I am small but not tiny (I usually wear USA size 4-6 in other brands.) (2) Id prefer a rayon that is woven, not this knit. I like that it is lightweight, but find that this kind of knit clings in hot sticky weather. Cotton knit might be better, too.

“My new, fancy dress up mitten and hat set”

I love the design and colors in the mittens and matching hat. When I bought a new winter coat for a New England winter this year I made sure that the coat coordinates with this set!
