In honor of the tribe's seer, the Akan people wear this mask with respectful reverence. Evans Doe Martey carves the magnificent piece of sese wood featuring a brass plate embossed with characteristic Akan ornamentation. On the forehead is the third eye that sees into the future.

"Engagement Gift"
I gave this to my son and his fiance when they became engaged. They love African art and I wanted them to have a reminder to love each other. It is a beautifully carved mask that isnt overpowering, only inspiring.
