The district of Guaitil in Costa Rica is renowned for its pottery made from natural mineral pigments locally known as curioles. This material is applied on paper by artist Magda Cordoba along with watercolour to create a stunning abstract painting that is part of her "Lands of my Land" series inspired by her country's traditions and history. "Making these works of art I find the union between body, spirit and matter," says the artist.
