Miriam Chipana, from Peru, creates this cubist composition with naif tendencies as an homage to the breathtaking Andean landscapes, representing the crops, textiles, and geography of the region in a creative and mystic arrangement, all using acrylic on canvas.
The artwork is titled Paisaje I in Spanish and comes unstretched.

The painting is in the style of Klee but is its own manifestation of expression, surrealism, and childlike fancifulness. The remarkable combination of colors and choice of shapes and symbols is first rate. I was really lucky to get this true work of art. It hangs prominently in my gallery.

I bought this painting for my wife who is a quilt maker. When I first viewed it, It reminded me of some of her colorful quilts. I was quite surprised to see it described as crazy quilt landscape. I love the patchwork composition of organic and geometric shapes as well as the bright and earthtone colors that connect man with mother Earth. This painting hangs as a center focus in out main living area. Well created Miriam! We love it!

"Like a river, my paintings try to collect everything, establishing a bond with the past through the forms and colours of the Andes."
