Trimmed with pale gray kantha, or running stitch embroidery, this flattering tunic comes from Ritu Agnihotri. Motifs in gray on purple are created with India's traditional block print technique. The blouse slips over the head, while slits at the hem enable an easy fit. It closes with hooks and eyes.

I couldn't tell from the photo, but this blouse is cut in a sort of A-shape or swing-shape (wider at the bottom). This makes it very loose and breezy when untucked and gives it a more casual look when tucked-in as well. (It would go well over leggings or other slender-legged pants and would also work as a beautiful maternity blouse or for women who want to hide some belly rolls!) The workmanship is solid, the fabric and colors nice, and I like this shirt a lot. I usually wear it tucked in: it is long enough not to come untucked and the fabric isn't too bulky to show under cotton pants. Recommend, unless you are looking for a taillored shirt.

Ritu Agnihotri has created this tunic with inspiration, talent, mindfulness and much loving care. I am sad to have to put it aside until next Spring, after the harsh Canadian winter has passed. I shall then wear it with pride and gratefulness.

Great shell for hot weather. Dresses up a pr of black bermuda shorts!
